National Mobilisation App - a guide for Community First Responders

Useful Tips

Messaging

It is good practice to minimise the Messaging app when you're not using it. If it remains open, you will not receive audible alerts for messages and you may miss a task. Simply press the Home or Back buttons to close the app.

If you need to send a message to someone, use the phone Messaging app, not the NMA Messaging. The NMA Messaging is only used by the NMA system.

Bong... Bing!

While booked on, you may hear the phone making these sounds, when you check there are no alerts or messages. These sounds are made when the NMA device loses & regains a data connection with the CAD.
It is possible to turn off these alerts, should you wish to; within the NMA app, go to Settings > Audio/speech settings > scroll to the bottom > under 'Comms audible alert' tap OFF

Incident History

You can view information on all incidents which you've acknowledged during your shift using the 'Incident History' button.

Each time you log-off, the Incident History is cleared and therefore, no longer available.
